I believe this is the 4th wave of feminism coming about - from the push for women to own property and vote, here in the US, to bra burning, to equal wages - still not equitable, but the gap is closing. The wave is turning to the realization that being a woman isn't about "bringing home the bacon, frying it up in a pan, and not letting you forget your a man," but, finally - ahhhhh, fresh air, autonomy! Equality - bah humbug; autonomy - hip-hip-hurray.

If "we" want safety, security, respect, then it must begin at a grass roots/home level - and programs such as Girl Effect, the LDS Church's Perpetual Education Fund, micro-loans, Heifer.org - this is where the growth will come, and in turn, all that women have been pushing for, for a hundred years, but it does begin with the one - and as this video shows, the ripple affect is effective - ever-reaching, ever-lasting, generational.

Sad as it is, us US women are not as autonomous as we'd like to believe - we're still victims and victimized - but that's another rant. Micro-loans in the US, PEF's in the US are as much needed for the "us" as for the "other."

I will never, never, never get off my soap box - a small act can change the world, one family at a time.

Thanks for posting this, Ma

Amen Ronda! You need to post her comment under that video. I posted that video too, very impactful. Have you heard about the "Feed Project" too, I got a bag for Christmas.
You have a cool mom, I wish I could take a class from her, can I audit?
