To anyone who may be reading this, thank you time and time again for your prayers and well-wishes. We're still in the hospital- Burn Trauma ICU- surgery is tomorrow. This will include amputation of his big toe, possibly the second, removal of dead skin, and skin grafts on left foot and both hands. He is not quite out of the woods yet, this may take several months, please be patient with him when you do see him again. He is in absolute awe of his role in the entire story. "Wow," and "No kidding?" are phrases I've heard a lot the past couple of days. The doctors and nurses are stellar- the pureed food and thickened drinks are not. The homecoming will be grand and I promise I will take all of you up on your offers!

Time After Time
During shift changes in the Intensive Care Unit, visitors have to leave for an hour. As I reminded Cliff of this, he pleaded with me not to be late coming back and reminded me that he would be watching the clock!

You are in our prayers Jenna and Cliff.
Jenna... I know its been so long since we've talked. Your mom sent me all the info about Cliff and I can't get you and your family off my mind! I just want you to know that I love you! I will be praying for you and for a perfect recovery for Cliff. In all of your caring for Cliff, remember to also take care of yourself! You are such a special gal!

I am so sorry to hear about Cliff. I wish I could make it all go away for you. Just remember to take good care of yourself. The nurses and doctors will take care of Cliff for now so you have to be in good health to take care of him when he returns home. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. My love, thoughts and prayers are with both you and Cliff.
