Dust Bunny
I cannot even begin to describe how much this grosses me out. May I present to you the contents my vaccuum picked up just this morning- starting with a totally empty canister! Let me remind you that The Cottage is hands down the smallest house in the western United States, well... at least in Utah County. How is it even possible that my house has this much disgustingness hiding in my fairly new carpet? Is this a normal size dust clump? If it is, then I guess I am my Mother's daughter- she is the definition of a clean freak. No question about it, next house wood floors are a must.

I beg your pardon! I mean, dear, dear dotter, your dust bunny's family is under my bed. Please come and get them - my wood floors are just not the proper environment for your bunny's kin. MA - guess now the world knows I read your blog!
Oooo! Yeah, that's about normal. I am with you on the wood floors! I want them everywhere. :o)
We have two cats and a dog. Our old Hoover vacuum would accumulate a dust/hairball about the size of yours. Then we bought a Dyson and the dust/hairball tripled the first time we used it. Disgusting! Like "the cottage," our house is relatively small. Since we bought the Dyson, I've installed a woodfloor in the living/dining room and kitchen.
Now, how to stop the dog's claws from leaving scratches?
Cheers!
