Overboard
The holidays are usually overwhelming. I'm not talking about the shopping, the wrapping, or even the family parties. Nope, I'm talking about the fact that my house becomes a slave to Christmas. Keep in mind that the total square footage of the cottage is under 1,000 square feet. I'm proud to say that we have the smallest house in the neighborhood. Things become chaotic, especially this time of year, in a home this size- all the Christmas greeting cards, the wrapped and waiting presents, neighborhood goodies spread over the kitchen counters, and even the piling snow makes me feel like a Collyer brother. Moral of the story? Don't be surprised if you drive by and catch a glimpse of me through the window putting away Christmas, cleaning, and throwing stuff away.
