"Americana"

Just the other day I asked Cliff how he would categorize my overall style: fashion, home, personality, and hobbies. His reply, "Natural and Simple." He just about hit it on the head and when I offered my own suggestion (see title), he said "Exactly!" With this said, I thought it would be fun to include a pictorial guide portraying my own personal style: who I am and what I hope to become.

I love place names... places I've lived and care deeply for. Great calendar from this site.

I'm old-fashioned, 'cause this picture totally makes my heart skip a beat. Yet another great site here.

Taking after my Dad, I learned to love maps of both familiar and unfamiliar places. This vintage Utah map is brilliant and can be found here.

If I had to choose just one, make sure you read "A Good Man Is Hard To Find." Much of the literature I enjoy is modern, not contemporary, American literature, usually set in the rural South: Southern Gothic. Initial attraction? My early years growing up in the Shoals.

Last but not least, a while back, someone told me I cook like a southerner: stove top (cook) not oven (bake). I take this as a huge compliment. I'm quite excited about the image of myself as a housewife. Consider this quote, "Aprons don't hold us back, they take us back."
