Glimpses

I just have to say that I absolutely adore my yard. It's a lot of hard work, but well worth it. First, in my lovely front flowerbed you'll find an array of Shasta Daisies, Pincushion Flowers, Black-Eyed Susan, Geum, Daylilies, Creeping Jenny, Green Bell Peppers, and Celebrity Tomatoes.

Here's the Blue Atlas Cedar Cliff and I planted on my birthday. (It's supposed to look like this!)

A view of our backyard, which looks remotely like grass when it's mowed. Brown grass I guess.

Here's the south side of our house. I bought these adirondack chairs our first summer here. I painted them to match a planter that hangs next to our front door. Everybody goes wild for them. This year I'm hoping to get this traditional picnic table painted the same color.

This was Cliff all the way! One night he was bored, and next thing I knew, our fire hydrant matched our house! I love it...

Okay, okay, so we don't really have an apricot tree, but it hangs over into our yard, so it counts, right? Beautiful.

Last but not least... I was surprised how this picture makes our house look like some sort of scene out of "O Pioneers!" You wouldn't know it, but this is Cliff's shop. Of course it was my inner instinct to do something, anything, to make it look halfway decent, which explains the turquoise star.
